Mathematics Home Learning
In addition to our vast amount of online resources to support pupils with their learning in Mathematics, the children are also set weekly Mathematics tasks to complete at home as part of their home learning tasks. The amount of Mathematics homework that goes home varies depending on the age and ability of pupils. Here is an overview of what home learning you should expect in each year group:
EYFS - Number bonds
Year 1 - Number bonds and weekly problem solving task
Year 2 - Number bonds/Times tables and weekly problem solving task
Year 3 - Times tables and weekly problem solving task
Year 4 - Times tables and weekly problem solving task
Year 5 - Times tables and weekly problem solving task
Year 6 - Times tables, weekly problem solving task and SAT practice questions
Sometimes, teachers will set a task over several weeks to complete which will be related to Mathematics such as for children to create their own games or study tools for Mathematics. Here are a few examples of some completed this year.
