Our trip to Flag Fen enabled the Year 3 children to explore life during Bronze Age to develop a deeper understanding of how prehistoric people lived. Throughout the day, the pupils had the opportunity to sit inside a Bronze Age roundhouse and watch another being built. They experimented with using natural materials to make marks, build fences, and create clay pots. The children were able to see a mysterious timber causeway and platform made by people 3,500 years ago and visit the museum to discover one of the earliest wheels discovered in Britain.
