Woburn Safari Park Trip
Year 2 and Year 6 went to Woburn Safari Park!
October was a fantastic month in Year 2. Alongside 20 Year 6 pupils to support us, we hopped on a coach and went to Woburn Safari Park and what a day it was! We left at 8:30 am and arrived at Woburn at 10:15. After a brief pit stop, we were joined on each coach with a knowledgeable tour guide who talked us through all of the facts and information about their animals as we did the drive-around safari. We saw so many amazing animals: rhinos, tigers, lions, bears, wolves, giraffes and, last but not least, monkeys. Some of which climbed on our coach and made a right ruckus. It was excellent!
After that, we stopped and devoured our lunch because everyone was so hungry and then we went to the educational area and all had a thirty minute talk about the African savannah.
Once we had done that, we did the on-foot safari and saw more wonderful wildlife: squirrel monkeys, sea lions, wombats, lemurs, goats and it was amazing. We then had an hour's fun play in the soft-play centre and even had a comment from a visitor about how polite and wonderful the children were. It was an excellent day out where we learnt lots about our science topics 'animals including humans' and it is a trip that we will never forget. As some children stated, "It was the best day ever!"
